Parcel Shipping Terms and Conditions:
-
Our parcel service is available exclusively within the Honduran territory.
-
The acceptance of our service implies the establishment of a courier air service contract between three parties: CM Airlines, the sender, and the recipient.
-
The official document that supports the air courier service contract with CM Airlines is the airway bill.
-
CM Airlines conducts a thorough verification of the package details, including the piece count, dimensions, weight, and condition of the merchandise. These details are documented in the air waybill and confirmed with the sender’s signature.
-
In cases where there is more than one piece or when the entire shipment cannot be transported in a single aircraft or air waybill, CM Airlines may require separate air waybills.
-
Senders must provide complete recipient information, including full name, phone number, and address. Inaccurate or incomplete information may result in CM Airlines rejecting the package.
-
The price for shipping the courier is determined according to the rates published by CM Airlines on the date the service is provided. This price is recorded in the air waybill.
-
CM Airlines reserves the right to apply additional charges, such as storage, security, ground transportation, and handling fees, when costs are attributable to the sender or recipient.
-
CM Airlines exclusively uses pounds as the weight unit.
-
Shipping fees are determined based on various criteria, such as the type of shipment (e.g., envelopes, packages), route (origin and destination), weight in pounds, volume (if applicable), special shipment characteristics (electronics, etc.), equipment rental, delivery to locations outside the authorized airport, additional service charges, and other criteria set by CM Airlines.
-
CM Airlines accepts packages with payment upon receipt by the sender or payment upon delivery by the recipient. However, certain packages (e.g., perishable, fragile, or those presenting other risks) may only be accepted with payment upon receipt at our discretion.
-
CM Airlines does not accept or transport goods deemed dangerous or prohibited by Honduran legislation.
-
CM Airlines is not responsible for cash, checks, or cash equivalents that are not declared. We reserve the right to accept or reject shipments based on our ability to transport and deliver them safely.
-
The transportation of coffins with human remains, human body parts, organs, or transplants is available exclusively on charter flights.
-
CM Airlines offers the service of transporting cremated ashes on commercial flights. To be accepted, the funeral home’s certification must be presented, and the ashes must be properly packaged in an urn.
-
All shipments are subject to space availability, and CM Airlines does not offer emergency delivery services. Packages received at the counter or offices will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
-
CM Airlines may accept perishable or fragile products, provided space is available on the same day of reception and on the condition that the recipient collects them during business hours on the same day. Failure to claim the products may result in CM Airlines not assuming responsibility for any loss of these products.
-
Products must be properly packaged to ensure their safe transport with normal handling during the process, preventing damage or injury to persons, goods, or property.
-
Each package must be clearly marked and labeled durably with the recipient’s name and address. CM Airlines reserves the right to reject the shipment if the goods presented for transport show signs of damage or deterioration.
-
Any packaging or container will be inspected before acceptance to ensure the shipment is free from corrosion, contamination, or other damages.
-
It is the sender’s responsibility to place marks or labels indicating if the shipment requires special handling (e.g., arrows, this side up, fragile, do not stack, etc.), considering potential stacking during air transport.
-
Any shipment exceeding 70 pounds must be placed on an appropriate base or pallet for forklift handling, and the customer will incur charges for the use of these services.
-
CM Airlines is not responsible for damage, total or partial losses, breakages, explosions, or reductions in the value of goods that occur during transport, storage, or delivery due to inadequate shipment condition or improper packaging. Such shipments will only be transported if the sender assumes full responsibility for the damages.
-
Any shipment not received by authorized agents and lacking its respective air waybill of lading will not be accepted as valid.
-
CM Airlines does not transport firearms as air cargo.
-
Conditions for the transportation of animals accompanying passengers are defined in the pet transportation policies. CM Airlines provides courier service for the transport of animals, limited to dogs and cats.
-
Any shipment that violates any law will be delivered to the competent authority without liability on the part of the company.
-
CM Airlines does not operate refrigerated aircraft; therefore, the sender will be responsible for any shipment requiring a specific temperature, provided they accept this condition.
-
CM Airlines reserves the right to select the aircraft, flight, and route best suited for air cargo transportation.
-
The delivery of the shipment will only be made to the recipient or a person authorized by them, through a written note or email.
-
If the recipient does not claim the shipment within the first three days, a notification will be sent to the recipient’s phone. In the absence of the recipient, a notification will be sent to the sender’s phone. CM Airlines is not responsible for incorrect phone numbers or delayed notifications.
-
The recipient must accept the shipment and pick it up at the destination airport or service offices. It is the sender’s responsibility to inform the recipient in a timely manner.
-
If the recipient rejects delivery or does not pick up the shipment after its arrival at the destination and persists in not appearing after being notified by the recipient or the sender, CM Airlines reserves the right to charge a storage fee based on the weight and days elapsed until the recipient receives the shipment.
-
Thirty days after the shipment has arrived at the destination station and has not been claimed by the recipient, it will be considered abandoned, with no responsibility on the part of CM Airlines.
-
Perishable shipments must be claimed by the recipient no later than one hour after the flight’s arrival. If the shipment is not claimed or is rejected at the destination, or is at risk of deterioration for any other reason, CM Airlines may take immediate actions deemed appropriate to protect itself from contamination, including destruction, auction, or donation of the items.
-
It is the recipient’s responsibility to inspect the physical condition of their shipment at the time of delivery. The recipient’s signature on the shipment air waybill will be sufficient proof that they have conducted this inspection and accepted the shipment accordingly. CM Airlines will not accept claims after the fact.
-
CM Airlines will not be responsible for any damage caused directly or indirectly by the compliance with applicable laws, regulations, orders, or government requirements, nor for any cause beyond its control.
-
The sender releases CM Airlines from all liability for hidden defects, fraud, or smuggling by the sender or the recipient.
-
No agent, employee, or representative of CM Airlines has the authority to alter, modify, or waive any of the current conditions or applicable laws and agreements related to the provision of air cargo services.
-
All these conditions will be communicated to the interested parties through various means, including the website, email, or printed materials provided upon request, especially when the request is made in writing to CM Airlines.
-
The service conditions will be available to the public, and neither party may claim ignorance of them.
-
CM Airlines’ maximum liability will not exceed US$50.00 in any case.
-
The shipping air waybill is not a negotiable title, and any act of disposition of the rights incorporated in it will be ineffective.
-
If the sender requests CM Airlines not to proceed with the shipment and it has not yet been sent to its destination, the sender must write and deliver a signed note stating that they voluntarily requested the return and have received the shipment accordingly. However, CM Airlines reserves the right to determine the manner and timing of the return of the paid value, as well as the collection of handling fees.
-
The transportation service will be considered satisfactorily executed for the sender if, at the time of delivery, the goods at the destination are received without any comments from the recipient.
